Nestled in a beautiful, single-story building in Wichita, Kansas, you will discover a warm and welcoming senior living community specializing in memory care. Everything about this space was designed from the ground up with our treasured residents in mind. From the cheerful and inviting common rooms decorated to resemble a private home to the dining program with personal dining assistance and dementia-friendly menus, your loved one will feel a sense of purpose and belonging as soon as they walk through the front door.
Because we know you place a high value on safety and security, we keep our care team on campus 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to be alerted to an emergency. We’re available to handle household chores, offer assistance with things like bathing, dressing and mobility or to simply provide encouragement and reminders as your family member participates in a variety of fun and engaging activities throughout the day.
Memory Care at Brookdale East Wichita
We are committed to person-centered partnerships between our care associates and residents so that your loved one can feel well-known. That means we build relationships based on trust, loving concern and a sense of family. Whether it’s our Clare Bridge program for mid to late stages of dementia or our Solace program for the advanced stages of dementia, we have purposeful programs with the compassionate care you and your family need. Here are some of our programs:
Clare Bridge is our exclusive brand of dementia care created more than 30 years ago.
Clare Bridge Solace is designed to meet the special needs of residents in the advanced stages of dementia.
ActivitiesWe believe your loved one deserves an opportunity to not only enjoy quality, personalized care but the beauty, joy and fulfillment that comes from living a rich and full life. That’s why we cultivate a community calendar of both indoor and outdoor events and activities that cater to each resident’s personal interests and passions. Whether they want to enjoy a leisurely afternoon listening to their favorite classic songs, join a trivia or bowling club, participate in various exercise and art classes or lace up their shoes and go on an excursion to places like Riverside Park, they will never be far from good times and good company.
DiningTo alleviate unnecessary stress and confusion, we’ve created a dining program specifically for seniors with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. Everyone sits down for meals at the same time in a pre-selected and consistent seat. Meals are served on colorful plates, making it easy to distinguish food, and selections are presented with dementia-friendly place settings. We also offer healthy snacks to make sure your family member is maintaining a well-balanced diet that elevates their overall health and wellness.
Our memory care program is deeply rooted in a person-centered approach. We offer the necessary resources and nurturing staff to care for those with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.
