About Our Community
Senior Living Meridian, MS
Set on four acres of beautifully landscaped grounds with a courtyard, outdoor patio and gazebo; Brookdale Meridian, formerly Emeritus at Silverleaf Manor, provides Senior Living in Meridian, MS. We are among the premier senior living communities in this region of Mississippi. Located near I-20 and Highway 45, our community provides a home-like atmosphere with 97 apartments on two floors. Known for its outstanding staff, Brookdale Meridian offers the full range of senior living options: retirement living, assisted living and Alzheimer’s and dementia care.
A Wonderful Selection
Our common areas — including our elegant dining room, library and sitting area with large stone fireplace — give residents and their loved ones the opportunity to get to know one another. We also offer an outstanding activities program, including several clubs and off-site excursions. Brookdale Meridian is in a residential area, close to the North Hills Shopping Center, several banks, as well as Bonita Lake and Collinsville Reservoir. Several medical facilities are close by, including Andersons, Riley’s, Rush and Specialty hospitals. A nursing home rehabilitation facility is also just minutes away if ever needed.
Residents have created the best history books in the world. We are ‘us’ because of their legacies. It is with great pride and honor that we serve them. Brookdale is known for hiring some of the most compassionate, dedicated individuals in the senior living industry – individuals who go above and beyond to make a difference in the lives of our residents and in the communities in which they live.
Our Community Lifestyle
A Wonderfully Active Lifestyle
The Life Enrichment Program at Brookdale was designed to add joy, purpose and meaning to the lives of our residents. At Brookdale, our approach to life enrichment means offering retirement activities and programs that reflect the talents, interests and personalities of the residents in each of our senior living communities, while also offering new experiences that will challenge them and keep them mentally healthy.
When you make a move to senior living, you shouldn’t have to give up your pet. That is why Brookdale Senior Living has pet-friendly apartments available at many of our communities nationwide for pets under 20 pounds.
Partnering with the Community
We believe that it is important to keep our residents plugged in with the “greater community” and it is best for the greater community to create space for seniors as well. We are members of the Chamber of Commerce and participate in the Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk.
We serve three homemade meals restaurant-style with tableside service. We have extended seating times to give residents more flexibility in their schedules. We offer a hot breakfast with cook-to-order options. Our main meal is at lunchtime and we serve a lighter meal at supper time. We offer two main entrees with our lunch and dinner menus along with alternative options for additional variety.
