Our Approach to Helping Maintain Health and Well-Being
When your patient's health begins to decline from factors like malnutrition, frequent falls or social isolation, we can help you introduce a healthier living solution. Your patients will benefit from Brookdale's deep specialization as leaders in the senior-focused healthcare industry. Our scale has led us to develop a population health approach modeled on preventive care and comprehensive well-being, and has prepared us with strong systems and processes to help respond to situations such as pandemics, seasonal flu and natural disasters.
Preventive Care
We aim to collaborate with you to deliver quality care for your patients. Here are some ways we work to help drive preventive care:

Clinical
Our clinical teams receive training to help identify and monitor many post-COVID symptoms, determine potential interventions and know when to notify physicians.

Emotional and Social Well-Being
Community leaders can share resources to help residents process grief and self-care and use toolkits to help foster a culture of emotional and social well-being among associates and residents.

Memory Care
We developed dementia-specific post-COVID protocols in partnership with national experts to help those with dementia cope with the unexpected changes caused by the pandemic.

Electrostatic Sprayers
Every community now has at least one electrostatic sprayer, allowing common area hard surfaces to be disinfected much more efficiently after they have been cleaned. Sprayers help communities in the battle against COVID-19, disinfecting high-touch, hard surfaces. Two key advantages to electrostatic sprayers:
Speed, as disinfectant can be applied at 24,000 square feet per hour
The electrostatic charge seeks out surfaces that human hands may have missed, like all around a handrail or doorknob.
The above information is current as of April 2022.

We offer many options for touring our communities. From virtual tours to indoor visits, your patient can learn more about Brookdale in a way that feels comfortable. To tour a future community in person, your patient can reach out via phone to arrange a visit. When your patient speaks with a local community advisor, the advisor will help your patient reserve a personalized tour time, answer any questions they might have.
