Vancouver, WA Assisted Living
Brookdale Fisher’s Landing, formerly Emeritus at Fisher’s Landing, is among the premier Vancouver, WA Assisted Living Facilities and is nestled in a quiet upscale residential neighborhood just off 164th Ave & McGillivray. We are within walking distance to Fred Meyers, Big AL’s Bowling, several nice restaurants, Regal Cinema 16, local parks and many stores to browse and enjoy. There are several churches nearby and the main hospital, SWWMC, is located just a few miles away.
There are doctor clinics, dentist offices and outpatient rehab facilities in the neighborhood. The Vancouver Mall, Clackamas Mall and Washington Square are all very close too. Even though all these businesses are nearby, we are still nestled in a residential neighborhood. There are several apartments, condos and homes right next door. Families looking to move to the Vancouver area might consider Fisher’s Landing for their loved ones. We have easy access to Highway 14 that leads quickly to I-205.
The Portland Airport is just a few easy miles away when family comes to visit. Portland is just across the Columbia River where we enjoy fishing during the summer. Mt Hood is off in the distance and a great place to go skiing in the winter and camping during the summer. The Gorge is east on 84 where the famous Multnomah Water Falls are located. We are only an hour’s drive to the coast where we can enjoy the Pacific Ocean and many shops and restaurants. The Spruce Goose, wine country, Tulip Festival, Mt Hood Jazz Fest and several casinos are all within an easy day drive.
A Wonderful Selection
Our building’s floorplan is square so for folks that like to walk for exercise, weather will no longer be an issue. Then as weather permits, we have a walking path that circles the building complete with park benches to stop and rest a while and enjoy the scenery. In the middle of the building is a wonderful courtyard that is a favorite place for BBQs and picnics. There are flower gardens and a water fountain to enjoy while watching the birds and squirrels play.
There are several tables with umbrellas to sit under and relax while reading a book. There are several senior apartment floor plans to choose from including an efficient studio compete with a kitchenette, two large closets, living area, bedroom area and a private bath complete with a walk-in shower with grab rails.
The one-bedroom floor plan includes a kitchenette, a large living room, dining area and a large closet. The bedroom has two large closets and can be configured to handle two single beds. Depending on your furniture, the room can also accommodate a queen or king size bed. This apartment also includes a large private bath, complete with a walk-in shower and a set of grab rails.
Our two-bedroom senior apartment floor plans include a kitchenette, a large living room dining area with an inviting nook area that can be used a variety of different ways. The bedrooms are a good size and each have their own huge closet and a corner nook for storing bed sheets, blankets and towels. Located in between the two bedrooms is the Jack and Jill bathroom which also includes a walk-in shower with grab rails.
We have a wonderful hair dresser to pamper our residents. Her rates are better than anyone out in town. So come on in and get pampered.
Strong, Caring, Professional Relationships
Brookdale Fisher’s Landing sponsors the Marketing Professionals of Vancouver and hosts a Memory Loss Support Group. Fisher’s Landing is also a member of WHCA.
The most pronounced thing that we get the most comments on is our staff. We are a small building and know all of our residents and their families by name. The families come and go regularly visiting our residents. We celebrate all the holidays and have so many visitors we have to have two separate meal settings for the holidays.
You will easily see and feel the home-like love as soon as you walk in the door. Come on over for a visit anytime. Our staff is very attentive to our residents’ needs. We are a friendly, home-like setting. We have several activities and events daily that our residents enjoy. We have taken residents to local restaurants, theater, the local college symphony and even go on horse rides.

Partnering with the Local Neighborhood Community
We host the Networking Marketing Meeting every second Thursday at 9am as well as a Memory Support Group every fourth Thursday at 6:30 pm. The local neighborhood association meets here monthly and every Sunday several local Churches hold services in the building. We offer the use of the building to all the residents families for special occasions.
We offer a main dish and an alternate that is designed by our Dietitian for most of the meals. On special occasions like Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter and other holidays, we throw a very fancy party. We pick a day near the actual holiday and invite all of the residents’ families as well as the general public to celebrate with us. Then on the actual holiday the resident usually goes home with the family for the actual holiday. Our parties are so large that we actually have to have two settings. The first setting is from 5-6 pm followed by the second setting from 6-7 pm. We end up using the dining room, activities room and the main lobby to fit everyone in.
