The community is located near Southwest Medical Center, a skilled rehabilitation facility, as well as shopping centers, restaurants, and hotels for the convenience of family members. We are also near Blue Bonnet Park and the Lake Meade Recreation Area. Our residents enjoy planned outings to the area museums, Land of Oz, Dorothy’s House, Orchards, and a number of parks. A Wonderful Selection
Emeritus at Liberal Springs offers various configurations of senior apartments such as studio, one-bedroom/one-bath, two-bedroom/one-bath, or two-bedroom/two-bath. Our residents can furnish and decorate their apartment however they choose, in order to make it their own home. Each apartment has a full kitchenette and its own thermostat control. One monthly fee covers all amenities, rent, three meals a day, laundering of linens and towels, weekly housekeeping services, cable, maintenance, and scheduled transportation for medical appointments and shopping. Compared to the cost of maintaining a house, shopping and cooking meals, living at Emeritus at Liberal Springs offers real value.

We offer a caring and experienced staff, personalized services and outstanding amenities designed to promote wellness, activity and dignity. Whether relaxing in the comfort of your own apartment, reading a book in the library, enjoying popcorn and a movie, strolling with family or friends on the walking paths or in the courtyard, or playing games in the game room; our residents and families have a variety of places to know one another, meet new friends and enjoy one another’s company. A great way to get to know our staff and community is through our short-stay respite program, where you can experience living at our community before making a permanent move. This program is also perfect for individuals who are being discharged from a hospital or nursing care facility and aren’t quite ready to go home. You will receive all of the services our residents enjoy in a fully furnished apartment with home-cooked meals, restorative services, scheduled transportation, customized assisted living services, and more.

Our retirement community offers four large common areas that promote engagement and interaction. Our spacious grand piano area is where groups gather to listen to volunteers and residents play the piano. At the Country Store, residents and families can purchase or sell items they have created or need. In our family-style dining area, residents can enjoy a family-style meal with family and friends prepared by our skilled dining service staff. Large groups gather daily around our double fireplace for a variety of activities before lunch and dinner. Many of our residents enjoy reading in the library or visiting the game room to play cards, dominos, puzzles, or engage in conversations with friends.
Our programs encourage involvement and stimulation, giving older adults the support they need to live as independently as possible. Each day is filled with a calendar full of activities and social programs for our residents, family and staff to enjoy. Choices of social, physical, mental, spiritual, cultural and creative activities are encouraged. Our monthly calendar is packed with enriching and spiritual activities for residents to enjoy, such as bingo, card-o, Red Hat Society, trivia, popcorn and a movie, spelling bees, group exercise, devotions, church, bible study, shopping and field trips.
Partnering with the Local Neighborhood Community
At Emeritus at Liberal Springs we are passionately committed to being involved in the community of Liberal. We focus on making a difference in people’s lives by hosting events that are designed to nurture the spirit and to be a resource for people seeking information. Monthly educational seminars include topics on brain health, long-term care insurance, VA Aid and Attendance, and we also are available to offer help with health issues, and financial support and planning for seniors.
Our staff is also very involved in a number of community organizations. We host and raise money for the annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s. We are also active in Breast Cancer awareness efforts, Relay for Life, Panhandle Eastern Retiree’s Club luncheons, Soroptimist Club, PEO, Aurora Club, book clubs, Chamber of Commerce events, local and surrounding area Health and Elder Fairs as well as Senior Citizen Centers’ events. It is our commitment that we will make a difference and support our community, residents, family and staff organizations.
Emeritus at Liberal Springs serves three delicious homemade meals daily in our beautiful and relaxing dining room, designed for our residents to enjoy conversation and a satisfying culinary affair. Begin your morning with a buffet or restaurant-style breakfast cooked and served to perfection. Or choose to sleep in late and join us for a continental breakfast to start your day. At Emeritus at Liberal Springs, we believe in choices and offer you selections at all meals. Our lunch is served restaurant-style with two delicious choices of entrees to compliment your meal as well as a complete salad bar tailored to our residents’ preferences. Dinner is also served restaurant-style with two delicious entree selections and a choice of alternates.
