We think retirement should be filled with two things: interesting things to do and interesting people to do them with. That’s what you’ll find at Brookdale Beckett Meadows in Austin, Texas. We’ll help with the cooking, cleaning, home maintenance, and more. That means you can spend time on the things you really want to do while we take care of the rest. So take an art class in our arts and crafts studio and then meet up for happy hour with your new friends. You get to redefine your independence with new friendships and the chance to explore new hobbies. And with several floor plans to choose from, you’ll find just the right private apartment to fit your style.
Our community offers both assisted living and Alzheimer’s and dementia care, so you’ll have the comforts of home, but without the extra work. And with both care levels, our residents may be able to remain here, in their home, with their familiar surroundings and friendships, should their needs change over time. But we are more than a senior living community. We are also a resource to the South Austin community and offer monthly support groups for caregivers.
Brookdale caregivers are available to provide assistance with daily living, balancing independence with assistance while delivering service with compassion, understanding, and respect.
Our memory care program is deeply rooted in a person-centered approach. We offer the necessary resources and nurturing staff to care for those with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.
ActivitiesWith tai chi, shopping trips, and the book club, you’ll have plenty of fun activities to choose from here. You can also play billiards, take a craft class or take a Flex your Brain class. No matter what you’re in the mood to try, there’s something for everyone. And our memory care residents have an exciting calendar too with music, gardening and games. Here you’ll be connected to a larger community of people that are proud to call Austin home. We participate in events at our state capital and open our senior community to the neighborhood as a polling place for elections.
DiningAs a resident, you can enjoy delicious and nutritionally-balanced meals in our elegant dining room. Have a suggestion? Join our weekly menu chats when you can provide feedback and even recommend family recipes. We also use mealtime to create a sense of belonging for our memory care residents. Your loved one will enjoy dementia-friendly menus with familiar and easy-to-manage selections, small dining rooms with consistent pre-selected seating and personal dining assistance as needed.
