Maintaining identity and a strong sense of self comes from living a life filled with meaning, purpose and contributions. At Brookdale White Rock, we believe having dementia shouldn’t change that. For those with Alzheimer’s disease or other types of dementia, our community, located in the close-knit neighborhood known as Lake Highlands, an historic area of Dallas, Texas, offers a safe environment and exceptional memory care.
With our carefully designed building and nurturing and highly trained staff, we focus on serving the specific needs of each resident and their family. We gently steer residents through their day with visual reminders and other familiar routines that meet their skill level, enabling them to experience daily moments of success. And you get the peace of mind knowing that our staff is there 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to be alerted to an emergency.
Memory Care at Brookdale White Rock
If you need memory care and support, we can help. Our Alzheimer’s and dementia care community is rooted in a person-centered approach. That means we help your loved one find a sense of belonging and purpose while also helping them preserve who they are. One way we accomplish this is by supporting person-centered partnerships between your loved one and their care partners to encourage familiarity and relationship-rich care at all stages of the disease. Here are some of our programs:
Clare Bridge is our exclusive brand of dementia care created more than 30 years ago.
Clare Bridge Solace is designed to meet the special needs of residents in the advanced stages of dementia.
ActivitiesOn any given day, you’ll see our residents engaged in such sports as balloon volleyball or kickball, socializing at parties and other get-togethers, reminiscing about the old days and enjoying music. Maybe you’ll find them playing cards, getting coffee with a friend or tending to their garden in our secure outdoor courtyard. Each of these activities is part of a carefully designed care program to help your family member live their best life and preserve their independence.

DiningThree home-style meals and delicious snacks are served daily in our dining area. To help alleviate any confusion or added stress, we keep mealtimes very routine for your loved one. All residents sit together at the same time and same table each day. We also customize place settings for each resident for an easier dining experience, and we can quickly convert meals to hand-held for those who prefer walking or standing rather than sitting.
Our memory care program is deeply rooted in a person-centered approach. We offer the necessary resources and nurturing staff to care for those with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.
