California Consumer Privacy Act Disclosure

This California Consumer Privacy Act Disclosure provides additional information to California residents whose personal information is processed by Brookdale Senior Living Inc. (“Brookdale”) pursuant to the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”). 

Categories of Personal Information Collected, Sold, and Disclosed

During the preceding 12 months, Brookdale has collected the following categories of personal information that are processed pursuant to the CCPA:  (1) identifiers, such as your contact information and online account information; (2) Internet and electronic network activity information, such as information about your interactions with Brookdale’s websites, mobile applications, and social media pages; (3) audio, electronic, or visual information; (4) professional information; (5) inferences about you, including about your preferences; (6) protected classifications under California or federal law, such as age; (7) commercial information including records or products or services purchased; and (8) education information.  Please see our Privacy Policy (“Policy”) for more information about our information collection practices.

We generally do not “sell” personal information for purposes of the CCPA. As set forth in the Policy, we disclose personal information to third parties for business purposes, including without limitation, for purposes of providing our Services, providing customer service, performing analytics and quality control, researching and testing features and improvements, detecting and preventing fraud and security incidents, debugging or repairing technical errors, and marketing our Services,] and for other business purposes described in the Policy.  During the preceding 12 months, we have disclosed each of the above-listed categories of personal information for such business purposes.  In addition, your information may be accessible to third parties with whom you interact or direct us to share your information through our services.

The CCPA allows California residents to request that a business that collects consumers’ personal information give consumers access, upon a verifiable consumer request, in a portable and (if technically feasible) readily usable form, to the specific pieces and categories of personal information that the business has collected about the consumer, the categories of sources for that information, the business or commercial purposes for collecting the information, and the categories of third parties with which the information was shared. California residents also have the right to submit a request for deletion of personal information under certain circumstances, although there may be legal or other reasons that Brookdale must retain your information consistent with California law. If you choose to exercise your CCPA rights, we will not charge you different prices or provide different quality of services unless those differences are related to your personal information or otherwise permitted by law.

Brookdale Senior Living respects your privacy. Our company does not sell any personal information or data to third parties. Our data collection platforms are, in part, designed to help us provide a better, more personalized experience for our customers. However, if you would like to opt out from having your personal information collected, you can fill out this form.

To ensure you’re removed properly, please fill out the form as thoroughly as possible. After submitting the form, you’ll receive a confirmation email that indicates the date at which your personal information will be removed from our systems. Please note that if you opt out, then your experience on will likely change, with less customization and personalized features. If you have recently applied for a job position with Brookdale Senior Living, then you may no longer be considered an eligible applicant due to the removal of your personal information.

Only California residents can make a request. A California resident is a person who currently lives in California, or is domiciled in California but is outside of the state for a temporary or transitory purpose.
