Memory care doesn’t have to mean monotony. Instead, it should be filled with life-affirming activities. It should be filled with social connection. And it should happen in a beautiful setting that feels just like home sweet home. At Brookdale Crown Point, you’ll find each of those things. Our community provides Alzheimer’s and dementia care for seniors.
You’ll find us conveniently located near I-95 and I-295. From our carefully designed building to specialized programming and a nurturing and highly trained staff and management, we focus on serving the specific needs of each resident and their family. And because we’re built specifically to meet the needs of memory care residents, you and your loved ones can rest easy knowing that we have staff on-site 24 hours a day, seven days a week to be alerted to an emergency.
Memory Care at Brookdale Crown Point
When residents move into our community, their world often opens up with new relationships and new activities. Through consistent care assignments whenever possible, our care team helps create daily experiences for your family member so that they can live their best life and feel well-known. Whether it’s our Clare Bridge program for mid to late stages of dementia or our Solace program for the advanced stages of dementia, we have purposeful programs with the compassionate care you and your family need. Here are some of the programs and services we offer:
Clare Bridge is our exclusive brand of dementia care created more than 30 years ago.
Clare Bridge Solace is designed to meet the special needs of residents in the advanced stages of dementia.
ActivitiesYou’ll see our residents enjoying exercise classes such as chair aerobics, crafting projects, dancing, karaoke, the garden club and music programs. We also offer game nights, devotional services and sing-alongs — all designed to help your loved one live life to the fullest. With gentle guidance and visual reminders, we help them flourish in gardening, kitchen work like cooking and baking demonstrations and other projects that help them use meaningful life skills and talents — even with advanced expressions of the disease.
DiningPeople living with dementia may be at a greater risk for poor nutrition and weight loss. That’s why we use mealtime as an opportunity to offer healthy and delicious menu choices and create a sense of belonging. Your family member will enjoy dementia-friendly menus with familiar and easy-to-manage selections, small dining rooms with consistent pre-selected seating and personal dining assistance as needed. We support their interest in food by enhancing the dining experience with music, beautiful centerpieces, warm and scented hand towels and fresh linens.
Our memory care program is deeply rooted in a person-centered approach. We offer the necessary resources and nurturing staff to care for those with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.
