As you and your family consider care for your loved one with Alzheimer’s or other types of dementia, we can help. At Brookdale Deer Creek Sarasota, we have decades of experience in understanding the complexity of Alzheimer’s and dementia. We also have a safe, comfortable, home-like environment for your loved one to live and thrive.
With gentle guidance and visual reminders, we help residents flourish in activities such as gardening, kitchen work and other projects that provide the opportunity to use meaningful life skills and talents — even with advanced expressions of the disease. And for you, there’s peace of mind knowing we have trained staff on-site 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to be alerted to an emergency.
Memory Care at Brookdale Deer Creek Sarasota
If you need memory care and support, we can help. Our Alzheimer’s and dementia care community is rooted in consistent care assignments and a person-centered approach. This means we help your loved one find a sense of belonging and purpose while also helping them preserve who they are. Whether it’s our Clare Bridge program for mid to late stages of dementia or our Solace program for the advanced stages of dementia, we have purposeful programs with the compassionate care you and your family need. Here are some of the programs and services we offer:
Clare Bridge is our exclusive brand of dementia care created more than 30 years ago.
Clare Bridge Solace is designed to meet the special needs of residents in the advanced stages of dementia.
ActivitiesYou’ll see our residents enjoying exercise classes such as bowling and walking, ice cream float socials, art projects, karaoke, puzzles, games and live music performances. We also offer spa days, music therapy, sing-alongs and excursions that can include trips to local beaches, restaurants and attractions such as the Ca d’Zan Mansion (home of American circus owner John Ringling) and Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium. Each activity is part of a carefully designed care plan to help your loved one live their best life.
DiningWe’ve designed a warm and rewarding dining experience to give your family member the dignity and independence they deserve. Three home-style meals and delicious snacks are served daily in our dining room. To help alleviate any confusion or added stress, we keep mealtimes very routine for our memory care community. All residents sit together at the same time and at the same table each day. We offer compassionate and attentive care to meet your loved one’s unique needs by providing dementia-friendly menus, personal dining assistance, and a supportive environment that encourages familiarity and socialization.
Our memory care program is deeply rooted in a person-centered approach. We offer the necessary resources and nurturing staff to care for those with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.
