Being a part of a memory care community should mean enjoying new and old passions. It should mean engaging in creative pursuits and enjoying social circles. That’s what we offer at Brookdale Santa Barbara. Our residents receive special care for seniors with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. From our carefully designed building to a nurturing and highly trained staff, specialized programming and management, we focus on helping seniors live life well in a safe, secure environment.
Brookdale was a pioneer in the development of memory care over 25 years ago, and we haven’t stopped perfecting it. Our small community offers a comfortable, home-like setting, which is ideal for individuals with memory loss. We believe that no matter where an individual is in their life, they have the right to live in a dignified manner and enjoy meaningful experiences every day. Our highly trained associates enable each resident to experience daily moments of success.
Memory Care at Brookdale Santa Barbara
We are committed to person-centered partnerships between your family member and their care partners. That means we build relationships based on trust, loving concern and a sense of family. Whether it’s our Clare Bridge program for mid to late stages of dementia or our Solace program for the advanced stages of dementia, we have purposeful programs with the compassionate care you and your family need. Here are some of our programs:
Clare Bridge is our exclusive brand of dementia care created more than 30 years ago.
Clare Bridge Solace is designed to meet the special needs of residents in the advanced stages of dementia.
ActivitiesWhen it comes to daily activities, your loved one will have plenty of options to enjoy. Trivia games, B-Fit fitness classes and crafting workshops are just a few of the activities offered. Seniors living with dementia, including Alzheimer’s, have specific needs, like predictability and stability in their schedule. But that doesn’t mean they should be sitting around doing nothing. Our memory care residents are paired with others with similar abilities so that they can maintain the sense of fitting in. Residents have at least six dementia-friendly activities each day to keep them engaged and active, and they also have the opportunity to explore the outdoors in our enclosed courtyard.
DiningDining is one of life’s greatest pleasures. That’s why we’ve designed a warm and rewarding dining experience to give your family member the dignity and independence they deserve. Your loved one will enjoy three healthy and delicious meals daily, plus snacks and beverages throughout the day. By offering dementia-friendly menus, personal dining assistance, and a supportive environment that encourages familiarity and socialization, we offer compassionate and attentive care to meet your loved one’s unique needs.
Our memory care program is deeply rooted in a person-centered approach. We offer the necessary resources and nurturing staff to care for those with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.
