If you’re looking to redefine your independence with a little extra help, Brookdale Spring Shadows in Houston, Texas, could be the right fit for you. With both assisted living and memory care on a single campus, you’ll have care to fit your needs. You’ll also have a worry-free lifestyle with assistance for the little things—like housekeeping and meals—and bathing and getting dressed, too.
When you join our community, you’ll feel that you’re among family. We value your independence and will take time to get to know your life stories, family, friends and dreams. You’ll receive a customized service plan that gives you room to grow and feel your best.
Brookdale caregivers are available to provide assistance with daily living, balancing independence with assistance while delivering service with compassion, understanding, and respect.
Our memory care program is deeply rooted in a person-centered approach. We offer the necessary resources and nurturing staff to care for those with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.
ActivitiesWe offer a different activities calendar for assisted living and memory care residents, so our programs are centered around our residents’ capabilities and interests. As an assisted living resident, you’ll find a wide variety of things to do here—including wine tastings, devotionals, yoga and Flex Your Brain activities. We believe memory care residents should also have plenty of choices and opportunities to grow, so we offer plenty of activities like the book club, cooking demonstrations and gardening for your loved one to stay engaged and feel a sense of connection.
DiningOur dining program is about helping you live well and eat well. You’ll dine on such tasty and refined dishes as peppered roast beef, chicken with pineapple salsa and Waldorf salad. You can also reserve our private dining room for special celebrations with family and friends. For our memory care residents, we keep mealtimes very routine with consistent seating that encourages familiarity and socialization and meals that are easy to manage and appealing to the senses. We also offer personal dining assistance as needed.
