The New York Department of Health (NY DOH) has issued visitor guidance for adult care facilities that meet specific benchmarks and are able to develop a plan for visits. A criteria of the NY DOH guidance is to share a copy of the visitor plan publically. Please refer to Brookdale's Visitor Policy Information for specific visitor guidance for the communities once they meet the DOH criteria.
Because nothing says home like cozy, comfortable spaces and people who care. If you and your family are looking for a memory care community, Brookdale Williamsville can help. Our Alzheimer's and dementia care community, also known as Clare Bridge, is rooted in “a person-centered approach”. That means we help our residents find a sense of belonging and purpose while also helping them preserve who they are.
For people living with dementia, small moments can have a big purpose. Our residents stay engaged with a gentle daily structure of planned activities to help them maintain their abilities and encourage the use of their current skills. Brain games, dancing and music programs are just a few of the ways our residents enjoy their days. Along with our programming, you’ll have peace of mind knowing that trained staff is on-site 24 hours a day, seven days a week. And our apartments can be personalized with familiar furniture and belongings so your loved one will feel secure and comfortable.
Memory Care at Brookdale Williamsville
Our memory care focuses on creating a personalized experience. That means there is no one-size-fits-all approach to care here. Techniques that work for one resident may not work for another, so we tailor care to each resident and help ensure their needs are well-known with consistent care assignments. Whether it’s our Clare Bridge program for mid to late stages of dementia or our Solace program for the advanced stages of dementia, we have purposeful programs with the compassionate care you and your family need. Here are some of the programs and services we offer:
Clare Bridge is our exclusive brand of dementia care created more than 30 years ago.
Clare Bridge Solace is designed to meet the special needs of residents in the advanced stages of dementia.
ActivitiesWhen it comes to daily activities, your loved one will have plenty of options. Yoga, Tai Chi, crafting classes, movie nights and nature walks are just a few of the activities available to help your loved one live their best life. Our residents also enjoy devotional services, bingo and cooking demonstrations too. Music is also an important part of life at Brookdale Williamsville, with sing-a-longs and drum circle gatherings. Residents also enjoy InTouch virtual travel. InTouch brings the outside world in with an intuitively designed touch-screen computer.
DiningDid you know people living with dementia are at a greater risk for poor nutrition and weight loss?
