About Laura Gooch

Laura Gooch, MFA, is a Content Specialist at Brookdale and a poet. She earned her BA in English from Pace University and an MFA in Creative Writing from Adelphi University. Laura uses her storytelling background to craft engaging blog and social media content. When she's not writing, she's reading voraciously, singing in her car, or spending time with her two wiener dogs.

For our associates, working at Brookdale can feel like more than just a job — for many, it’s a calling. Connecting with residents, providing a listening ear and offering a little encouragement can go a long way toward helping someone feel seen and valued. It’s these everyday moments that make the work so meaningful. Each associate brings their own “why,” but what they share is a desire to make a positive difference in our residents’ lives. Sometimes, a shared laugh or a familiar smile can brighten the day for both.
