Laura Gooch, MFA, is a Content Specialist at Brookdale and a poet. She earned her BA in English from Pace University and an MFA in Creative Writing from Adelphi University. Laura uses her storytelling background to craft engaging blog and social media content. When she's not writing, she's reading voraciously, singing in her car, or spending time with her two wiener dogs.

A visit with two new kittens came with a wonderful surprise for Brookdale Brighton residents Sue and Lou: a new friend in each other. Both were excited to be the first to meet community cats Charlie and Oliver, and a chance meeting over a shared interest soon grew into a lasting friendship. Their story is a sweet reminder that there’s always room for someone new in your life and that even a small moment of curiosity can lead to something truly special.
