- New Vaccine Recommendations for Adults 65 and Older
Healthcare providers play a key role in vaccination adherence for their patients. Many studies show a physician’s recommendation is one of the most important factors affecting their patient’s decision to receive a vaccination.
Part of Brookdale’s commitment to senior health and wellbeing includes providing access to preventative care. We work with preferred pharmacy providers and our resident’s primary care physicians to provide access to our residents so they can stay up-to-date on their vaccinations. Our personalized approach to care enables us to work individually with each resident and their physician(s) to help them get the vaccines they need.
Brookdale hosts onsite vaccination clinics at all our communities, following and offering CDC recommended vaccines for residents 65 years and older. Vaccines offered typically include influenza, COVID-19, Zoster (Shingles), Pneumococcal, RSV, and TDAP. As new vaccinations are approved and become available, they are added as they become available to our pharmacy partners at our onsite vaccine clinics.
Brookdale is dedicated to partnering with our residents’ entire healthcare team in taking a proactive, preventative approach to health and wellness. Learn more about how we can care for seniors here.
